How to optimize CT position range
When the match point is found, it is strongly recommended to have a CT value higher than 20%. For lower CT values, high voltages might occur at CT capacitor blades. This leads to an operating condition in which arcing may occur between the CT capacitor blades and hence damage the capacitor. Such a condition can normally be prevented by adjusting the coil so that CT stays above 20% during the operation (for common power levels). For higher power levels it is advisable to increase that value so that there is a higher safety margin.
To increase your CT to higher values the number of the internal coil elements must be adjusted: in most of the times this means to decrease the number of turns. A detailed description is presented in the user manual of the MatchingCube.
