How to increase the matching speed.

The following information was tested and approved with a MatchingCube-A. That is a model that employs air capacitors.

For general information on optimizing the loop parameters refer to: How to set control loop parameters.

In order to decrease the matching time the most important parameters are:

Maximum Step Sizes:

CT
CL

and Control Loop Parameters:

CT Phase Gain
CL Phase Gain
CT Magnitude Gain
CL Magnitude Gain

Increase Maximum Step Sizes step by step to the maximum of:

CT: 100
CL: 250

In order for these two parameters to have an impact on the matching speed it is also necessary that the loop parameters are not too small. What too small means depends greatly on the application. This needs to be tested and balanced in an iterative procedure.

In case any instabilities occur: Decrease the Maximum Step Sizes and/or Loop Parameter settings immediately!
